ello guys, so a little story...

After I heard the announcement about the Scandal's signature guitars I wanted Mami's Stratomaster very badly!  Super excited and even started asking around to preorder one. I realized I didn't really want to pay for a Squier at that price or for a guitar I might not like or wait that long, but then I saw on this forum other members (WaffleDino, babaloued, and *Haru~Chan*) who had customized their own guitars to look like Mami's Stratocaster.  I definitely love the Mami's actual Strat more than her Squier jazzmaster so I decided I wanted to make a somewhat high end guitar (close to Fender American Standard and not cheap).


Anyways long post, but here are the specs!

So first off the body and pickguard are made by Warmoth.

Neck will be an official Fender American Standard Stratocaster neck.

My own personal taste that makes this different from Mami's guitar is the Wilkinson Tremolo, Locking Tuners, 1 Volume 1 Tone layout, and Seymour Duncan pickups.  


I will also have a custom neckplate engraved with まみ and a custom backplate with Canta engraved onto it.

Just received the rest of my parts and my custom engraved tremolo cover and neckplate! Now I just need to wait for the body which should be done in 2 weeks.

That CANTA backplate is to die for!!

I have noooooo clue about electric guitar parts since I play acoustic but I'm looking forward to how this is going to turn out XD

I'll be doing some of the assembly, but I'll have my guitar tech do the wiring and setting up.

Yea I'm also curious how the SD's 5-2 will sound.

you know what, i am excited too. hahaha. as do the other people who commented above i'm sure.

PS: my tech texted me yesterday that my MAMIcaster only needs restringing now. but i can only go pick her up this Saturday as i am busy at work all week!

So I just received an email from the painter and it's done!  He sent me pics and at first I was kind of sad that it wasn't an exact replica of the paint job, but it turned out really well anyways and looks good!  (Also I realized now I had it routed differently so that probably threw off the painting).  

Well, it is still a good job! Now it's just putting it all together and will be looking forward to hear what the guitar sounds like ^^.

So I received the guitar and the paint job isn't as perfect as I'd like it to be, but after it was put together I think it looks really good! and above all else it sounds and plays amazingly!
