Vampire Knight:Vampire Knight is a manga by Matsuri Hino of the fantasy genre that takes place in an alternate reality in which vampires and humans are in a constant state of conflict, except on the campus of cross academy where Headmaster Cross is trying to allow the two species to peacefully coexist. It i smost about a girl named Yuki, boy named Zero and another boy named Kaname-senpai.

Kaichou Wa Maid Sama: Once an all boys school, Seika High, a renowned school full of reckless and filthy students, has recently become a co-ed school. However, with the female population still remaining a minority even after the change over the recent years, Ayuzawa Misaki takes it into her own hands to reform the school and allow a chance for the girls to feel safer in the rough environment.

Training, studying and even becoming the first female student council president of the school, Misaki has gained a reputation, among the male students body as an uptight boy-hating demon dictator and as a shining hope for the teachers and fellow female students. However, despite her tough-as-nails appearance, she secretly works part-time at a maid cafe in order to support her family. Unfortunately, her secret is soon revealed when the somewhat impassive Usui Takumi, a popular boy at school, nonchalantly discovers her in a maid uniform after school.

La Corda D'Oro: Hino goes to a school that specialises in music and has two streams: the normal stream and the music stream, where the music students are regarded as the more elite. She was running late for her class one day when she saw a tiny fairy, who seemed really excited that she could see it. The next day, the entrants in the music competition, who are decided by the school, are announced. Hino's name appears on the list - except she doesn't play an instrument. The fairy gives her a magical violin that can be played by anyone. Reluctantly, she enters into the competition and is forced to deal with the prejudices of her peers.

OHSHC: Haruhi is a poor tomboyish student at a school for the ultra-wealthy, able to attend because of a scholarship, and unable to even afford a uniform. One day, she stumbles across the decidedly peculiar but very popular Ouran Host Club. She tries to leave, but accidentally breaks a vase, and unable to pay for it, she's told that she'll have to stay and do odd jobs. That is, until they decide she would be more valuable as a club member. Not realizing she's female due to her appearance, they fix her up and give her a male uniform. She's an instant hit, so they decide to have her keep up the charade even after they find out the truth. Haruhi, being average almost to a fault, doesn't know what to make of the unconventional activities of the Host Club (or of the even more unconventional members), but having little choice, she plays along. Before long, real bonds are formed, friends made, and Haruhi finds herself accepted in a way she could never have been otherwise in this affluent school.

All these exists in both anime series and mangas. But honestly I recommend you to read the mangas instead of watching it. Mostly because you get to know more by reading the manga and the sotry doesn't end so quickly and bad.

Do you want to recommend any mangas/anime?
please do :3

La Corda D'oro is great for people to get hyped up about classical music lol! I kinda gave up on Vampire Knight (even though I still want to finish it) despite being a huge vampire lover... But I don't really like to read manga ><

An anime to recommend: Nanoha if you're into magical girl serieses (then Yes! Precure 5 is very good too~)

I'm not a fan of shoujo series, actually, but I really like OHSHC -- it's kind of ... brainless fun. The reverse-harem-of-stereotypical-characters always make things interesting and the dynamics are electric at times and delicately poignant at others. I like that there's a balance between character development as well as humour -- I haven't taken a shot at reading the manga yet, but I might.

As for Vampire Knight. I have mixed feelings.

All these recs are good if you like the shoujo genre, especially if your tastes border on reverse harem.

Of the 4, I love Ouran Host Club the most. It's well animated with a great comedy that is high quality and a bit shameless. That's why it works - the series is genre savvy and can poke fun at itself sometimes.

I never caught on to the Vampire Knight craze. It was very dramatic and beautiful, but not the type of mature josei drama that I'm used to. Thus, it felt very "high school" to me. Maybe it is better for younger fantasy-genre lovers.

La Corda had some very cheesy, shoujo cliches, but I ended up loving it! The characters are likable, and its focus on classical music makes it stand out from the other otome game adapations.

All those mentioned anime/manga belong to the shoujo category which isn't very much my preference. I've watched all their anime adaptations and even though I don't really prefer shoujo, I found them all great.

VK has a bit serious mood, the story is good as it progresses. Kaichou wa Maid sama is kinda' funny and focused more on the love part. La Corda D'Oro has a touch of romance and comedy which is nice. OHSHC is just hilarious, every episode leaves me laughing.
