At the completion of the second SCANDAL HEAVEN Fan Letter Project, there was some discussion about coordinating a "gift" for SCANDAL. Because this is an international community, coordinating this kind of effort is a challenge. Thankfully there's an easy way to gift the girls in a way that represents SH as a whole.

We can also use this effort to print some fan-made shirts to present to the girls as a gift!

We will not be the first community to offer up this kind of gift; Hong Kong-based SCANDAL SUSHI gave the girls some shirts when they came to HK and this got them a mention in one of HARUNA's blogs:

We're still working on the donation system. I'll inform when its done and how it will work.

@pluto: Yea, I'm aware, this was posted before I spoke to wat about it. After we figure out a way to donate (make a paypal account) will edit this or/and the first post.

It's quite cool that we are starting this gift project, if my budget allows it, I'll order one.

So this gift project is specifically for the AM² thingy this summer ?

It's distinct from the one we wanted to make for November in Sendai ?

of course, giving ideas are good. I welcome any ideas also. but for now, we are starting small and hence giving t-shirts is the best at the moment. for November, I don't think there are any plans yet as we should be focusing for AM2 first. one step at a time.

we would also like to do different kinds in near future, hopefully. so that we can show SCANDAL that we are able to produce different types of gifts everytime.

If you're talking about our sites donation system, it's going to be completely different from what you think it is.

That being said, if anyone wants to donate, it should be directly to wat's paypal account or whatever.

Just letting everyone know that if you all do manage to put this together, there will definitely be a chance where you can give it directly to the band members and not have to go through any proxy.

Sounds like a good idea. When is the AM2? And just curious, but how do you expect to give it to the band members directly?

AM2 is from July 1-3 and SCANDAL will be there on the 3rd. They're supposed to have a meet-and-greet "party," so hopefully we can give everything to them at that time.

At the Meet and Greet Session, you should be able to give the items directly to the Scandal band members and at the same time take photos with them.

I'm skeptical but good luck! I hope you get the chance. It will be a lot easier than hoping they get the letters when I sent them. Don't forget to tell them to expect more letters when they come back to Sendai!

Well, I don't see why the letters wouldn't have been given to them after some basic security check. There's no reason for the staff not to give them.

Updated first post with a donation link. If there's a way to put the button directly in the post let me know; I had to make a separate page because the PayPal Donate button requires form HTML.

Donations go directly to my personal paypal account. mc has approved of this method.

I don't think I've given any reasons for anyone to distrust me, but please contact me if you're uncomfortable with letting me handle your money.

In the event we end up in excess of the donation goal, we'll try to figure out a way to use it meaningfully (already have some ideas). i'll update the donation goal as soon as tofu gets back to me with the prices.

I'll also start updating with current amount of donations once I start to get some.

actually we have thought of this project a few months back.. but since SCANDAL wont be coming here our only option is to ship shirts to Japan which is pretty expensive majority of PH members are students so we cant afford that project yet.

so we'll support you in any way we can in this project ~ good luck guys!

Wat, I will be willing to deal with international orders, if it does not become a hassle to calculate postage.

As for people attending the convention, they have the option of the shirt being delivered to them before the convention, or the 1 day I will be attending 7/3/11

As for the pricing of shirts, I will need to wait til we reach or exceed the number of shirts we need, 24.

I just beamed 10 USD to wat, saw it was still at 0 USD just now. Hope this project can come through!
