I know, and like I said I did mean to keep one. But I bought an AV65 Jazzmaster that I had to finance, and I just wasn't playing the Scandal guitars much at all. I just felt like having three guitars sitting around in their gig bags all the time was pointless - that's a lot of money tied up for nothing. I meant to keep one just to collect but the only buyer I managed to attract would only take all three (he was like me six months ago). So I figured if I really wanted one, I could just get another one through Yahoo and pick it up again just like last year. But now that I've had them and let them go, I might be satisfied with the experience of having owned them once. I really like to have guitars that I really play.

They smashed 2 guitars+1 bass (which were used in the PV of Shoujo S) in the photobook of Best Scandal. They auctioned them off on Mobaoku in March 2011.

Haruna's guitar was sold for ¥250,000+ (that was around 3,000USD(!!) back in 2011) (the other 2 were sold for less)

Look what's coming back in March 2016.

UPDATE ON THE THIRD RUN OF SCANDAL SIGNATURE SQUIERS

To date, these guitars appear to have sold out for online sales at Ikebe-gakki (http://www.ikebe-gakki.com/web-ikebe/squier_scandal-signature/) as the add to cart button is in grey and is unclickable. You may still try e-mailing them as see if they actually have it (overseas customers have to e-mail anyway).

Ishibashi (http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/) has all three guitars clickable on their online shop, but the snag is they don't do direct overseas sales online. Theoretically a deputising service may be able to get them for you.

Guitar Planet (http://www.guitarplanet.co.jp/sp/sea/key_sea/key_sea.cgi) has them too but I'm not sure if they do overseas sales.

Amazon JP used to list them (on behalf of music stores that do their online business via Amazon) but I can't see them at all now.

I pre ordered the silver skull just weeks ago. After hearing this i felt a heavy anxious feeling because i was planning on buying a bit later.

american standard HSS that mami has cost like 3-5 times more than the signature Squier and thats only a stock strat (she has a mexican made one)

will be too expensive to be marketable

It is an American Std HSS strat but there is no MAMI model I'm afraid.

If you want one, buy the strat in black with a maple fingerboard and get a pro to do the artwork. Because that was what MAMI did - it was never a signature series made by Fender for her. Some surfboard artists (company called Bratz) did the dollops of ice cream on the guitar.

yeah thats what i thought but yeah its still a very long way to get that strat

the price of just the base model (Fender American Standard Stratocaster) is heart breaking. i managed to buy a brand new one but it is a (Fender American Special Stratocaster) though the price was the same, i am now hesitant if i should push through replicating the design, because once it fails i'll be crying with the loss of $1,200. but i really wanted to replicate it though hahah any ideas?

in my case tho Jun Castro is just a few steps from my house xD (but he charges quite on a professional level given the quality of his work)

ohh. it is made in US hahah hmm i believe you have Mami's squier signature? how was it?

hmmm when i brought it, it was unusable (action too high, neck is too arced) so i immediately had it setup by jun and it was ok to use already.

tho i use mami's jazzmaster as my main guitar (playing live, ETc) i somehow feel better using the silverskull

man indeed us made xD
and the make looks really good as well

playability is good as long as you have its action and truss rod adjusted to proper height (in my case the guitar was adjusted badly when it first came to me so it was really bad)

hmmm im really confused tho hahah i have both and i like playing with both xD
one clear thing i hate about the jazzmaster is the jaguar bridge

its really a pain in the ass to intonate it so if u want easier adjustment just go with the skullsilver, in my opinion both are good guitars tho not as good as their gibsons and fenders. it is a mid tier guitar anyways
