SCANDAL Copy Band・Vocalist Contest 2015 Vol. 6 Final at Shinagawa Stellar Ball
There were 637 groups that entered this year. With our sixth installment, there have been over 3,000 groups in total that have applied since the first one.
That's awesomeー,,
We're filled with gratefulness to everyone. It was conveyed from all of the bands that they worked their hardest for this day. I've been moved so many times

When we debuted, there were hardly any girl bands in the same generation and it was hard to open girl band events
Learning that there copy bands for us were increasing in number during that time made us very happy. With the cue of beginning to think "If we could connect these great links and always liven up the girl band scene...", we started this contest

Six years have passed and recently it's been feeling like the girl band scene is building up. It feels like this atmosphere will grow naturally for some time. Hoping for this lovely atmosphere, we did the Copy Band Contest Final!
You might get back home feeling differentー! It really was an array of fresh, straight performances until the end

This is kind of changing the subject, but when I saw Sakanaction's Ichiro Yamaguchi-san's Jounetsu Tairiku (TV show), I heard him talk about "Musicians must think about the future"; I strongly believe it truly seems like thatー

We too will continue to work hard!

No, "Final" simply meant that it was the finals of the contest. For the past six years, they've always referred to the final stage of the contest as the "Copy Band Contest Final."

This must be an inspiration to the copy bands how SCANDAL has made it through the years and now, they are having a wider influence added by the world tour they had. SCANDAL desereved to be looked up to because not only they provide good music but also they retain to be humble and respectful and their friendship is going stronger as days passed.

I hope that they'll inspire more copy bands all over the world.

Do we know anything about the winner from this year, or has it not been announced yet?

Yes, that is them in the group picture. And TOMO and MAMI briefly mentioned on Twitter that the winner was Namamugi Otome Band.
