On March 27th (Wed.), new single 『Masterpiece / Mabataki』 with two A-sides will be released as the first release from SCANDAL's private record label "her."

This work, kicking off to a new start along with the establishing of new label "her," will be the band's first double A-side single.

「Masterpiece」, featuring positive lyrics filled with hope for a new start and future that's characteristic of SCANDAL, is a fast-paced rock number. With 「Mabataki」, a completely unpublished new song, the members wanted to write a completely different type of song that would go together with 「Masterpiece」.

For the creative aspect of this work, the covers were made by Q-TA, a collage artist garnering attention with high fashion pop collage & visual works and working both domestically and abroad on commercials; CDs; magazines; book bindings; decorative designs; and with visual collaborations for apparel brands.

Well, it is a dual A side single, but there's no B side, unless you count the instrumental, but that's only for the Regular Ed. Was really hoping for a 3rd song honestly buuuuuut...

I'm excited for the single! .dies. The artwork looks so cool and different from their usual cover style, reminds me of something from The Oral Cigarettes. I'm definitely gonna try to get my hands on the Magazine Edition.

You're talking about international availability on music purchasing/streaming sites, right? It's too early to tell, but, as it says in the first post of this thread: "There are plans to have major download sites and subscription services distribute this single from 3/27." We don't know yet if that's including online international stores, so we'll have to wait and see.

Yes, CDJ takes both debit + credit cards and ships worldwide (including the US). I've been ordering from them for a long time (9+ years), and so have many people here as well.

For people who are getting someone to help enter the lottery for CLUB CITTA at Kawasaki, the lottery requires a receipt number, make sure you get a receipt as its needed for the lottery. Today I had to go back to the store, as normally they do not provide this, I and another Scandal fan were first to pre-order today.

The CLUB CITTA lottery registration needs, receipt number, attendee name (there will be photo ID check for this event), address. Good luck.

But when they drew lots during the live stream to see which stores will be giving out which member's solo clear files, HARU definitely drew the paper that had "TSUTAYA" written on it. It's also listed on Victor's site that TSUTAYA will 100% be the store that will have the HARU clear file bonus. So, HARU is, as referred to during the stream, "A4 Clear File (Pattern B)" that will be offered at TSUTAYA.

The record stores have listings, but they do not say which member, as it was decided during LINE live.

So store list the clear file as

Solo A
Solo B
Solo C
Solo D only, without saying which member it would be.
(some store doesn't list which clear file at all)

Only Solo A and Solo D has been listed so far on the online store, TSUTAYA didn't list if Haruna is Solo "B" or "D", but if you say Haruna is "Solo B" then Tomomi will be listing of "Solo C" (but I just what the stream again, I don't see them saying A/B/C/D for the clear file)

Hm, okay. Well, I wouldn't think too much of it as the band themselves only just figured out which stores will offer which members, so it's not surprising that the stores haven't gotten the correct ones listed yet. They'll probably get the letters/members correct (as is according to what's listed on Victor's site) and worked out soonish.

Just the listed stores above. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like CDJ is part of them.

I have used CDJapan a few times though it’s a major ordeal with my credit card company. I now need to spend about 1/2 hour on phone with their “fraud” Dept before I make a purchase. I need them to shut off the “auto protection” on my card for a day. Otherwise they reject the purchase and shut off my card until I call them. It’s a hassle but I’ve no other choice.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is an A4 clear file? As far as I know that's a plastic folder used to hold paper documents. Is that what they're actually offering, or does this mean something different in the world of Japanese music collectibles?

Exactly what you described. With a photo of the band or band member should you buy from the respective stores (ie buying four items at four different stores to get folder printed the photo of each member).

To @Kris1Otaku - wrt credit card payment. I think Japan had been always unusual with regards to credit card payments online. I live in the UK and a few years ago I noticed one credit card of mine (Barclaycard) seems to sit well with online payments may it be Amazon JP, Feedback!/Kitty. Things may have improved with other UK cards but I've stuck with Barclaycard for all my Japan-related online payments. So, it may be which bank the credit card is from is the issue, in my opinion at least.

As suggested by others, PayPal is accepted by CDJ. That may be the way forward if you want it to be more hassle-free. I know PayPal is not everyone's cup of tea so it's up to you to weigh the pros and cons.

Sounds like an issue with your CC company or the Insurance company they use to monitor fraud. There should be a way to setup an exception with them so that you can buy from certain sites/countries. If not, I'd recommend trying a different company for your CC. I generally don't use PayPal due to fees (I am non-U.S. so my fees incur a conversion fee as well), but as you're in the U.S. it shouldn't be much of an issue, so maybe try them if you really can't change your CC options.

Hi guys, I am new to ordering anything from Japan, and so I simply pre-ordered from CDJapan. I can see that CDJ is not in the list of places that offer the bonus yet, but Scandal will still release the single to CDJ right? Yes, of course. The bonuses are just freebies that happen to come with the CD, and those don't affect the stores' availability of CDs.
