Also, are we using the design that is on the shirt right now?
Or are we centering and maginifying it?

It should be enough for the printer to work with.

For now I'm assuming you're referring to SH Design 1, in which case I'd say the original layout is fine. Or, we can leave it in the same position and magnify the guitar to the point where the neck extends all the way up to the shoulder, that would be cool too.

got the price and it isn't what i expected. the 4.3 ounce fitted shirts are way more $$ than regular 5.6 or 6.1 ounce t shirts. in white with the logo oversized on the front will be 18.50 and if you want colors, they will be 19.99 each
this does include the screen charges which usually run 25 per screen (each color is a screen)....the prices are so high because it is such as small quantity...

i am not sure what you mean..individual shirts? that isn't done with silk screen as they need 24 for our guy to screen...if there are different names or words for each shirt, they can be done with heat press but i will have to check if it is doable on these 'thin" t's.

we might not be the people for you as our screener charges a fortune for names in silkscreen....

Wow tofu you were really almost quoting them word for word. But this clears a few things up now that a few key words have been included.

Who is Cathy? Is she like the middleman between you and the printer? Because these quotes are terrible, I was expecting an itemized breakdown. I'm not sure how she expects you to make a decision based on the information she's given you.

So here's my guess at what she's trying to say:

Shirt Styles - "Heavier" shirts are cheaper

Really, I don't think it matters a whole a lot.

The following prices using 5.6 oz or 6.1 oz shirts (she didn't really specify) and all sizes available:
White Shirt, Guitar on Front (3 colors), SH logo on back (1 color); $18.50 each
Black/Colored Shirt, Guitar on Front (3 colors), SH logo on back (1 color); $19.99 each

I'm going to assume this includes the SH logo on the back since you said you were asking for a new quote for front only. Personally, I think it's important that we keep the logo on there even if we can't do names.

The price difference is because it's easier to print on white shirts than colored shirts. For colored shirts, they have to lay a "base" layer or something on the shirt before they are able to print the real thing; this is not required for white shirts.

Please correct me if this isn't accurate.

For comparison's sake, I've requested quotes from some printers here in LA for various options, they should be getting back to me shortly. But it already sounds like tofu's people are going to be cheaper for screen printing with only a $25/color setup fee -- $35 seems to be the norm in LA.

But before we go any further with them, I'd advise that we ask for a complete cost breakdown for the following combinations:

Front and Back Designs:
White Shirt, Guitar on Front (3 colors), SH logo on back (1 color)
Black/Colored Shirt, Guitar on Front (3 colors), SH logo on back (1 color)

Front Only Designs:
White Shirt, Guitar on Front (3 colors)
Black/Colored Shirt, Guitar on Front (3 colors)

The fact that they are giving crappy quotes really bothers me.
