I'm wondering the same, exact thing... I miss the sound of that bass, but it won't be the same again. I love the active pickups and now it's passive. @ichiruki!: don't worry because the black active p-bass sound is almost the same with the red one (it has the same USA Preamp) only the difference is the pickup design, the black active p-bass have more growl sound than yuusuke-kun

- Here's why:
Looks awfully blue in color to me, especially in contrast to the actual black items she's wearing. It also looks very blue in this video.
Edit: Looks completely navy in the "Kimi to Mirai to Kanzen Douki" PV.
People were posting pictures of P Bass in both navy and black, trying to say that the navy is actually very blue/lighter while TOMO's looks darker and not that blue, but they were stock pictures and you can't always go by those; I find that most companies wash them out a bit.
So here are non-stock pictures of the P Bass in Navy Blue Metallic, and you can see that the color looks just like TOMO's:

I know some people were saying how it looks black in videos like the AwaTsumo instructional video, but since the navy color on this bass is actually very dark it can look almost black. Take a look at this one. It's listed as being the Navy Blue Metallic color yet it does look black. It's just like how TOMO's can look at times.

Also, the bass in black looks to be a truly black color with no hint of blue in it, as far as I can tell from the pictures I've seen of other peoples' ones.

@lexian: change the pickup arrangement of yuusuke kun into passive with 3 knobs (for the pickup, its still unknown)

well i have a question about her squier jazz bass, is it only standard jazz bass? or something else like affinity, vintage modified, classic vibe etc.?
since the squier basses' price are cheap, maybe i will buy a new bass (squier) that Tomomi have..

All is not lost. The nearest Squier Jazz Bass that looks like hers that is available in the market is the Affinity series. You need to get it painted if you want it to look exactly like Timo's.
Not a bad bass guitar to buy if you are a beginner. The Affinity's also the cheapest Jazz Bass made by Squier, so good luck with your purchase!

Just wanted to ask, does anyone know if Tomomi uses flatwounds or roundwounds? I'm inclined to go with roundwounds because of her tone, but maybe someone here knows for sure?

Some bassist said the Music Man Stingray is one of the best bass on the face of the planet (among Fender P & J basses). It has even punchier sound than her Yamaha BB. Wanna know which song she played with it.

I've heard the bass live before in a demonstration in a music store... HNNGGGGG That Stingray is so amazing! When the guy started to slap and pop, it was like Flea all over again. Only flaw I can find with this bass is... the price. LOL it's too expensive for me~ *sigh*
I hope that Tomo starts to really pop and slap with this bass, because this is pretty much THE bass for it IMO.

There's something stucked in me, in that pic, the body of the bass looks like made from flame maple, one of my friend told me that he never seen anything like flame-mapled stingray, and he said it could probably a sterling, but I couldn't say anything due to that low-res pic, so how do think guys? Is it truly a stingray or a sterling? Or maybe it is a customed one?
